As a musician, Coach Miggy is well-versed with choral music, having been part of choirs since High School all the way up to 2018 — whether as a chorister or as a conductor. His dedication is unparalleled as he has bagged multiple University – wide and System – wide recognitions for his work as the conductor of his College (UP Engineering Choir) and College Organization Choir (iChoir – UP Industrial Engineering Club), and has won international awards and toured in Asia as part of multiple choral groups (i.e. Kammerchor Manila, Aleron). But apart from all that, Coach Miggy is a seasoned Oil and Gas Professional with 11 years of industry experience under his belt.
As a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, he continues to find ways to optimize and improve how things work in the various roles he has had the opportunity to do — Retail Sales, Commercial Sales, Market Development & Demand Planning, and in his most recent role as a Retail Marketing & Pricing Lead. And while his achievements and talents speak volumes of his mettle, Coach Miggy enjoys his spare time with the gift of family, friends and solitude.
Apart from hanging out with closest friends and family, his downtime would always include binge-watching K-Dramas (having finished one drama in one sitting) and Sports – inspiring Anime films and series.
Musician Ramon Miguel Abeleda, fondly called “Miggy” through his peers or “Coach Miggy” through his students and co-coaches, is a multi-faceted individual whose credentials and achievements speak for themselves.
As a coach, he is a Certified Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a Level 1 Triathlon Coach of USA Triathlon. He has founded his own business, Tristep Fitness Hub, in 2022 and has since then helped multiple athletes finish their first marathons, open water swims, and triathlons among other events. As an athlete, Coach Miggy has had immense dedication to the sport being a 7x Ironman 70.3 Finisher and a 5x IRONMAN Finisher.
Coach Miggy’s latest achievement this year was being able to qualify for both the 2025 Ironman 70.3 and IRONMAN World Championships that will be held in Marbella, Spain and Nice, France, respectively.
